Refractory production process

Refractory materials are mainly used in the construction of high-temperature industrial furnaces, and their production process is complex, involving a variety of raw materials and fine processing links. The following is the main production process of refractory materials:

1. raw material preparation

The production of refractory materials must first prepare various raw materials, such as bauxite, high alumina fly ash, clay, limestone, etc. These raw materials are pre-treated by crushing, screening, storage and batching.

2. batching and mixing

According to product requirements and raw material characteristics, determine the appropriate proportion of ingredients. After the ingredients are completed, the various raw materials are mixed to ensure uniformity.

3. molding

Forming is the key link of refractory production. Common molding methods are pressing, pounding, vibration and so on. During the molding process, pressure, temperature, humidity and other factors should be strictly controlled to ensure product density and strength.

4. drying and preheating

The molded product needs to be dried and preheated to remove internal moisture and improve the thermal stability of the product. The drying and preheating process requires strict control of temperature and humidity to prevent product cracking or deformation.

5. firing

Firing is the core link in the production of refractory materials. During the sintering process, it is necessary to control the atmosphere, temperature, time and other parameters in the furnace to make the product achieve the required physical and chemical properties.

6. post-processing and inspection

The fired product needs to be post-treated, such as grinding, cutting, surface treatment, etc. Then, the product is strictly inspected, including appearance, size, performance and other aspects of the test to ensure product quality.

7. packaging and storage

The qualified products shall be packaged for transportation and storage. Product breakage and contamination shall be prevented during packaging.

8. finished product delivery

Finally, the packaged product is marked, recorded, and then put into storage, waiting for shipment.

Summary: The production process of refractory materials includes raw material preparation, batching and mixing, molding, drying and preheating, firing, post-processing and inspection, packaging and storage, and finished product outbound. Each link must be strictly controlled to ensure product quality. With the development of industry, the demand for refractory materials is increasing, and its production process is constantly optimized and improved.
